About Us

Sema, the founder of SM Home Staging, believes her journey into home staging has been wonderfully expected.

During her teaching career in further education, classrooms became her canvas—from seating arrangements to walls, every element was carefully arranged to serve one function: learning, in the most appealing and visually engaging way possible. This passion for purposeful design continued at home, where she curated every corner of the family space to serve the needs of each family member in the most compelling way, naturally drawing everyone to their desired activities.

This natural inclination to make spaces both beautiful and functional led Sema to pursue formal interior design studies at the British Academy of Interior Design. There, she explored design principles, aesthetics, scale, and proportion, combining this principled approach with the intuitive sense developed through years of immersion in design magazines, reflective practice, and countless visits to art museums.

Having worked in interior design studios and the design and build sector, Sema understands that design excellence is only part of the equation. Successful projects also depend on meticulous schedules, on-time deliveries, product quality, and material availability.

At SM Home Staging, Sema brings together everything she has gathered about styling and design with proven project management expertise to transform spaces so they can serve their function in the most compelling way.
